Public Sector Organizations

The government regulates such organisations for the general public. The taxes paid by the people

to the government are invested in this sector. To account for various recourses, their utilisation

and to provide for the required public services, are the main objectives of public sector

organisations. The scope of this sector can be divided into three broad areas: provider, producer

and buyer (Cummings & Worley, 2014).

The public sector makes available a varied range of goods and services to its people, which

include services of education, healthcare etc. as a buyer, this sector buys certain products to aid

the sector in providing public utility services like the construction of roads or a recreation centre

(Groucutt and Hopkins, 2015).
